Sherry Killingsworth

Sherry Killingsworth studied studio art at the University of Texas and Stephen F. Austin University, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1973. After receiving a gift set of Rembrandt soft pastels in 1988, she fell in love with the spontaneity of the medium and the vibrant colors. Sherry is primarily a landscape artist who paints in a realistic/impressionistic style. Sherry is a member of the Pastel Society of Southeast Texas, Austin Pastel Society, Red Rock Pastel Society, the Pastel Society of America, The Brenham Fine Arts League and the Visual Art Society, formerly the Brazos Valley Art League. “I have always found a spiritual connection with nature. My landscapes reflect the moment I connect with an image, bathed in beautiful lighting or veiled in mist, that strikes a chord in my memory and makes my heart skip a beat!”
