Hello, everyone! We are celebrating our 50th anniversary this year! Such a milestone celebration gives us an opportunity to showcase our all volunteer, non-profit 501c3 organization and to find supporters/advocates of our volunteer mission of supporting art and artists in the Bryan-College Station area. This mission includes our community activities, the Aggieland Art Trail and our efforts to support art education through monthly demonstrations, workshops and college scholarships to deserving local art students.

As you can see in the following list, there are many ways you can help support the Visual Art Society of B-CS and in turn promote the visual arts in your local community. All donations go directly toward our community activities and allows us to bring in prominent speakers, well-known artists for workshops, top quality judges for our shows and perhaps even subsidize bus trips to art museums, etc.

Art Book Sale

The sale is in conjunction with our Meet and Greet on September 1, 2022 @ 5:30-7pm Degallery, 930 N Rosemary Dr., Bryan, TX 77802. Most of the books are from our organization's library and some donated by members. Please bring any art books you would like to donate to this event!

Brazos Vally Gives
Brazos Valley Gives is an initiative of the Community Foundation of the Brazos Valley, serving to bring the region together as one community during the month of October to raise money and awareness for local nonprofits in 7 Brazos Valley counties. Their annual 18 hour giving day is October 18, 2022.
|
On giving day, visit Brazos Valley Gives to look for us and make your donation! This will be our 3rd year to participate.

Each year we do better at bringing in donations and public awareness to our organization.

Aggieland Art Trail
From donations received last year during our Brazos Valley Gives campaign, we were able to design and print brochures highlighting our Aggieland Art Trail. The brochures include a map, information about VAS and our new donor levels; in the space where donors names will appear. We mailed the brochure and an accompanying request for donations to local businesses. You can view and download each document:

Online Auction 2022
Two years ago, we were the fortunate recipient of a large art collection from local architect, Mr. William Scarmardo. This collection includes beautifully framed hand painted oil reproductions on canvas of masterpieces by Renoir, Monet, Picasso, Van Gogh and others, as well as three large bronze statues. Truly, these pieces would be a tasteful and affordable additions to any home or business.

We will auction these items, as well as donations from some of our members, as a fall fundraiser. One of our members and past president, Nancy Schaan and her husband donated a vintage carousel horse!

The online auction runs from September 30, 2022 at 5pm to October 19, 2022 at 9pm. Take a look! We will kick-off of the auction on September 30 at the opening reception of our Fall Member Show, "Hullabaloo!". Pick your favorite now from all the paintings and art up for auction.
