Many famous photographers used film cameras and darkrooms to create their work. While digital cameras and image editing software are now the norm, some photographers still prefer the old-fashioned way, including our speaker, Joel Kitchens. There are advantages and disadvantages to both methods, but ultimately the choice comes down to preference.

High School Scholarship Deadline – April 26, 2024

Our Visual Art Society scholarship application deadline is 5 pm, Friday April 26, 2024. We have two $500 scholarships for high school seniors graduating (by August 2024) from a high school located in Bryan/College Station and who plan a course of study and a career in the visual arts.  You can find the application HERE.
