Observing, Performing and Why I Do What I Do
Come meet member and film photographer, Joel Kitchens at our March 10 meeting.
In a time when digital technology has transformed image-making, why would anyone continue to use obsolete equipment and techniques such as view cameras and film to make art? In this presentation, photographic artist Joel Kitchens tries to explain some of the method behind the madness of using a massive camera and secluding himself in a dark room for hours on end. Are there any parallels to other art forms?
Doors open at DEGALLERY at 5:30pm. There will be light refreshments. Our Social Chair, Renee Richards, always does a great job providing us with tasty treats! Come by a bit early, chat and catch up.
