Come explore the world of negative space painting with Jami Bevans on Tuesday, June 28th 10am-4pm. This workshop is sponsored by the Visual Art Society of Bryan-College Station. All materials are provided, but feel free to bring your own supplies.
In this hands-on workshop, participants will work on two watercolors. The first watercolor will be more controlled, using various shapes intertwined with still life objects for a very easy approach to negative space painting. The second painting is a more intuitive approach in which the artist paints without the benefit of a pencil drawing. Reference photos for this painting will be available to choose from but participants are encouraged to bring their own reference images of flowers to spark their creativity.
