Brazos Valley Art League’s most valuable assets are our volunteers, a caring group of members that reaches out to the whole community. In these uncertain times of the Covid 19 pandemic, a need has come to our attention. Our friend, Sarah Quinn, recognized that face masks were in high demand. First, Sarah saw a personal need for face masks in the employees of the companies she and

her husband own and began making masks for them. An overwhelming response also came from the community as a whole and she decided to make masks on a larger scale. You can view Sarah’s whole interview on KBTX from April 4, 2020. Now, you must be asking……”How can I help?” Sarah tells us she has all the pre-cut fabric and elastic needed for making a kit. What she really needs are volunteers to help sew several masks a day to help meet the 1500+ orders and help distributing the masks would also be greatly appreciated. If you are interested in working with BVAL to help Sarah, then email kegb83@gmail.com. We would love to hear what other BVAL members are doing to help support our community so that we can highlight all the good work! Thank you….Karen Bigley, BVAL Exhibit Chair
