DESCRIPTION:  \n \nLearn about Paint Out Bryan 4/12-13\nwith Mindy Austin\nMindy Austin\, our publicity chair\, is in charge of our plein air event: Paint Out Bryan 2024 in conjunction with the Downtown Bryan Street and Art Fair and Destination Bryan.  She will be sharing details in a short presentation about this celebration of plein air.  Learn more and apply to join us on this WEBSITE.  Registration is free and there are cash prizes!  Deadline to sign up is extended to April 10. \nArt & Craft Rummage Sale\nHave art & craft supplies\, including art books that you no longer need?  Donate them to VAS for an art rummage sale.  Attendees can pick out what they want for a donation to VAS. \n  \nDoors open at DEGALLERY at 5:30pm for our April meeting.  There will be light refreshments.  Come by a bit early\, bring your rummage sale items\, chat and catch up!

DESCRIPTION:Come join us at Degallery\, Wednesday 4/17/24\, 12-1pm for our new “Lunch Together.” \nAll members and future members are most welcome! If you want to be a member\, you can join VAS HERE.  We would love to have you! \nBring your lunch.  Coffee\, tea and some snacks are complimentary\, thanks to Degallery.  We’ll chat\, share feedback on our current projects and everything else. \nOur first “Lunch Together” went great last month – there were 6 of us!  Lots of good conversation! \nIf members want images of their art\, contact Wendy Keeney-Kennicutt at webmaster@visualartsociety.org The pricing (plus sales tax)  is $10 for 1 painting\, $16 for 2 paintings\, $21 for 3 paintings\, $24 for 4 paintings and $5 each for 5 paintings and up.  You would pay on the day by card\, check or cash.  All funds go to support VAS.  Private access to the online images would be emailed to you. The photos would be taken at her art studio. \nNote:  The above photo was created by gemini.google.com.  I tried to include people having a brown bag luncheon in an art gallery\, but when the photos were enlarged\, I saw a hand with 12 fingers\, ghastly faces\, so I quit.  The free AI image generators have some growing to do!

How have you been inspired by the natural world to create works of art that reflect the beauty of nature? The show runs April 26 – June 28\, 2024\, and is open to all artists. We accept works from emerging\, mid-career\, and/or professional artists. \nAcceptable mediums include Acrylic\, Charcoal\, Collage\, Color Pencil\, Computer Art\, Digital Art\, Digital Photography\, Drawings\, Fiber Arts\, Glass Art\, Graphite\, Gouache\, Illustration\, Mixed Media\, New Media\, Oil\, Pastel\, Pen and Ink\, Printmaking\, Sculpture\, Studio Fine Crafts\, Traditional Photography\, or Watercolor and others. \nAll submissions must be family-friendly.
