Primary Primavera

Spring Art Show

Call for Art

Entry Deadline has passed.

The Visual Art Society of Bryan-College Station graciously invites all artists to participate in our spring show, Primary Primavera. The exhibit will be displayed in DeGallery’s new and picturesque location at 930 N. Rosemary Dr., in Bryan, TX and will run from 4/9/21- 4/30/21.

This juried show will be a judged competition, with winners announced the night of our Opening Reception.

As the name, Primary Primavera, suggests, the theme of this show focuses on the primary colors; red, yellow, and blue. Ideally, one primary color should clearly dominate each item entered.  At a minimum, one of the primary colors red, yellow, or blue should be clearly visible in the work. If you enter more than one item, you may choose to feature a different primary color in each of them or have them all the same. It is up to you!

Each artist may enter up to 5 pieces. If the artist enters multiple pieces, although not required, he or she is encouraged to consider creating a collection that is cohesive, as this quality will be taken into consideration during a special judging category for "Best Cohesive Display".

Primary Primavera is open to artists of all experience levels, mediums, subjects, and styles.
We are excited to see the unique amalgams of red, blue, and yellow this show will surely create.

Meet Our Judge

Our show will be judged by Joel R. Edwards.  Mr. Edwards is most known for his artwork depicting landscapes and nature scenes. He renders realism in mediums of pencil, oil, and watercolor. joelredwards.com
